May 2011 Update

The 2011 summer craft festival season is upon us.  I have applications out for several shows and you'll see them listed on the events page when I am confirmed.  I've been spending time designing new items, and will be starting to work and display them here as they are made.

My Etsy shop is started.  While this website has no shop ability, I will link to Etsy as I update photos on both.  There you can pay by Paypal or cheque.  It's currently limited to shipping within Canada, and other destinations, USA first, will appear.  Even if your country is not present, you can always order directly with an email request

As of July 1, 2010, the Harmonized Sales Tax (HST) is applicable for Ontario.  Due to the application of the tax, I do not have to charge any tax on my items until my license renews in 2013.

Have a great summer!

A New Year, A Slew Of New Designs

Winter is over, and we're looking for spring.  With all of it's colour and freshness, it makes sense that inspiration for new jewelry follows.

I'm trying ideas to make jewelry in copper wire wrapping, glass etching, crystals, plus some of the old faithfuls with beads on a string.  Instead of focusing on heart shaped stones (but they'll be around), I've started work on designs that are wire-only, designs with gemstone beads in the wire-wrap, and wrapping around other stone shapes.

This crystal wrap is a preview of the interesting things to come.  It's already sold, but you'll see more here in April.

New Items for May

Spring is slowly becoming summer in my part of the world. I've been at working on many new projects, and the first new completed designs are up.

There are two events forthcoming in Ontario, and many commissions to be completed.

This malachite cabochon is just one of the new items for May.  Please take a look under "Wirework", "Semi-Precious Gemstones" and "Costume Jewelry" to see them.

Wirework and beading are a part-time hobby business that I run from my home in Kitchener, Waterloo, Ontario, Canada

You can view my designs in the gallery, and check which events I am attending to sell. Please contact me for quotes on commissioned pieces.

If you're in Southwestern Ontario, you can see my designs in person by appointment, at a public event or by hosting a private jewelry party.

I am planning on offering Paypal ordering for selected wirework items, but any item can be purchased directly by contacting me.

Thank you for visiting Bishop Wire & Bead.  Enjoy browsing the site.
